So, one afternoon while we were out & about with Lark, we came across something you don't see every day at Target. I was able to snap a quick shot to share with you all. Pretty silly, huh? I'm really not sure what this guy was thinking.
Anyway, after that little show, we went over & got Hannah's mullet removed at a local salon. She didn't want to sit in the chair alone but she would sit on my lap. She's had her hair cut several times, so that wasn't a problem. It was just a new location & a real hair salon. She's never been in an actual salon. Don't worry, Hannah. Deep down, we're all scared of hair salons.
The next day, we drove home to see Logan. After 2 weeks in VA & several days before & after in UT, we had been gone from him for nearly 3 weeks! That was waaaay too long. I couldn't imagine not seeing my little girl for 3 days, let alone 3 weeks! So, he made plans to play that afternoon. He took us out to the desert to shoot his new rifle. It was really fun. Hannah is usually excited to help Daddy shoot the BBGun. But, she was scared to shoot the rifle - probably because it's louder.
We only had a few days at home before we drove back to UT for Clint & Natasha's wedding. The wedding was on Thursday of that week. So, we basically unpacked, did laundry & then re-packed. Whew - that was exhausting in itself. What happened to my slow, relaxing life?!
Ok, so we get to UT for the wedding & the very next morning was the ceremony in Salt Lake. The moment Clint & Natasha made their exit from the Temple for greetings & photos, Hannah forced her way into Clint's arms. She loves her uncles...and being the center of attention. She's in quite a few photos with them! Haha. The only one who could coax Hannah away from Clint was Grandpa (surprised?).
Later that evening was the reception. It was, hands down, the funnest reception I've ever attended. The dance floor was packed all night long with line dances, slow dances & Hannah shaking her booty. She seriously danced all night (between breaks for chocolate covered strawberries & marshmallows). We had a blast. There was a photo booth, too, which I've never seen before at a reception. Hannah made it in a lot of people's photos, especially her new bff, Ru (Natasha's little sister).
It was a fun & exhausting weekend. In fact, Logan & Hannah started to feel ill on the way home that Saturday night. Turns out, Logan came down with the flu & Hannah had something similar, just not as bad. We were all finally home together, but not under the best circumstances. Either way, Hannah really enjoyed the time with her daddy. It took Logan a few days for the fever to go down & before he was back at school & work. I thought I was home-free. But, sure enough, I got sick right when Logan was back up & running. Hannah didn't get a fever, thank goodness. But, she did have the flu when we were in VA. So, maybe it just didn't hit her as badly this time, since it was only 2 weeks later. The good news is that all of us were better, with a week to spare, before Halloween!
